Washington Conservatory of Music at Glen Echo Park

Cello Sampler 5-day camp – June 25 – 29, 2012;  9 am to 3 pm

Ages 7 - 11

Is your child the next Yo-Yo Ma? The Washington Conservatory Cello Sampler Camp at Glen Echo Park is a great way to try out the cello in a fun group setting.  Cellos are provided.

Campers are introduced to the basics of the cello  and learn to play simple tunes.   Elements of music  such as note reading, rhythms, pitch, are also introduced.

This camp accommodates both beginners and students who have played cello in school for one year.

By Friday afternoon the budding musicians will have had a fun time, will have a sense of accomplishment, and will know if cello is the best instrument to learn in the fall!

$305 plus $12 registration fee. www.washingtonconservatory.org  or 301-320-2770

Teacher: Drew Owen (see above)
