Cello Choir

with Gary Fitzgerald, conducting

open to all

Saturday, April 5, 2014

9:30-11:30 rehearsal; 11:30 informal concert

in conjunction with the U.S. Army Cello Workshop (full schedule and details here)

Brucker Hall, Fort Myer in Arlington, VA

The Kindler Cello Society of Washington, DC is sponsoring two events at the U.S. Army Cello Workshop: a cello choir, the morning of Saturday, April 5th and a round-table discussion at 1:30 on Sunday, April 6th.

The Cello Choir is open to all interested cellists, and the concert is open to the general public. However, space on the stage is limited, so to ensure a place, we recommend replying below to reserve your spot and confirm which parts you will play. Of course, we also encourage you to join the Kindler Society or renew your membership, if you have not done so in the past year. Membership forms can be found here. Being a member of the Kindler Cello Society is a great way to meet other cellists, keep abreast of what's happening, and support events such as master classes and workshops.

If you can join us to play in the cello choir on April 5th, please take a look at the music which you can download below, and send us a message with your name, phone number, and e-mail address, giving your first and second choice on parts. (1, 2, 3, or 4). We will divvy up the 12 parts for the Klengel according to which part you are playing in the other three pieces.

Tell all your friends. We would love to see as many people as possible.

To reserve a place or ask questions, please send your message to Hans Kindler as soon as possible.

Please print and bring your own parts on the day. The Army will have plenty of music stands there.
