Daniel Tavani is a home schooled student. He is 11 years old and in the 6th grade. He began studying the cello at the age of 6 with Barbara Kavanaugh. He has studied with NSO cellist Loran Stephenson for the past 3 years. Daniel is principal cellist of the Concert Orchestra of the Youth Orchestras of Prince William. He also studies piano with Martin Berkofsky. Last spring he was first place winner of the Northern Virgiana Music Teachers Association Elementary Divison Caurine Easterling String Competition.

Kacy Clopton is a senior at the University of Maryland in the School of Music. She began studying the cello at the age of five and is currently studying with Evelyn Elsing, as a recipient of the Dean's Scholarship as well as the Agnes Bailey Scholarship. She was a finalist in both the National Symphony Orchestra and UMD Young Artists Concerto Competitions. Kacy recently won the Concerto Competiition at the Brevard Music Center and performed the Dvorak Cello Concerto with the BMC Orchestra. She is an active chamber musician and performs with her quartet and other ensembles frequently in Maryland, D.C. and Virginia.
